Johan the Barleywine was the first batch of beer produced at Sun King Brewing Co. on July 1, 2009, a small portion of which was placed in Bourbon barrels to age. This process imparts even more depth of character to the beer, allowing it to pick up flavor from the Bourbon as well as the oak.
125 cans of Bourbon Barrel Aged Johan the Barleywine are available for online reservations beginning January 21st at 12:00 PM (EST) and the other half will be available in the Tasting Room on January 28th. ($25.00 per can, plus tax, one per person). Reserved cans can be pick up at the brewery on Jan. 28th, 2013 - Feb. 2nd, 2013.
Each person will be alloted ONE can per reservation (one per person, one per email address). Mulitple email entries with the same reservation name will be canceled. Online reservations will have one week to pick up their beer.
You will receive an email regarding your reservation, please print this out and bring with you to the brewery for pick up in the Tasting Room.
Reservations do not include cost. ID will be required for reservation pick up. $25.00 per can, cash or credit card (Mastercard, Discover, Visa), plus tax is due at pick up.
Please note, reservations not picked up will be made available to the general public on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 10:00 AM (EST).
Reservations are ONLINE ONLY. Call-in reseservations are NOT available.
